The atelier is a place where I unleash my creativity and passion for sewing. Working at the sewing machine brings me a sense of calm, and creating unique clothing designs gives me immense joy. Sewing has been my hobby since childhood, and over time it has become my profession and lifelong passion. In my atelier, I craft handmade garments, meticulously detailed and created with a love for craftsmanship and quality.
My Passion for Sewing from an Early Age
Hi, I’m Irena. Sewing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — my first projects were made from my mother’s old skirts, and every moment spent at the sewing machine sparked my creativity. This childhood fascination grew into a journey that eventually led me to create Atelier Irena.
Education and Experience in the Fashion Industry
My passion became the foundation of my professional knowledge. Attending a fashion technical school, studying at the Łódź University of Technology and Université de la Mode, as well as working at Tatuum, allowed me to learn the fashion industry inside out — from the first sketch, through garment construction, to the finished piece reaching the customer.
My Story in Switzerland
When I became a mother and moved to Switzerland, my world changed completely. Amid the beautiful Alpine landscapes, I still felt a lack of personal space just for myself. It was only returning to sewing that reminded me of what truly brings me joy. From a small machine set up in a children’s room, my Atelier was born — a place where I now combine experience, passion, and the desire to create something truly unique.
